I am afraid that I will be unable to do lesson 7 because I do not want to set up a Myspace account just for this class. I have not sent up one now and do not see a reason to have one set up for the future. I do not feel comfortable just opening an account and leaving it there unused. I know that when my daughter gets older she will have one but for now I think I will pass on following up on lesson 7.
I see how it can be helpful in many situations, but just not for me at this time.

Office uses/ Google docs
Our library uses google docs so I have done some things with it already. The advantage is that if you see a mistake or you need to keep a group that do not meet formally often. With more and more people working from home this allows the access to the same information will still being able to update as a individual needs to. Also were I work we keep a schedule that so that we all can see when each other work and update if a trade is need. This way if we have any question on what hours we worked it is an easy click away.
Podcasting
I work at a library only part-time, so I am not sure how podcasting would work for me and my work. But I found podcast which the author read to children and gave the correct pronunciation for certain words in a story. I think this would help me with my child and learning words and numbers in different languages. I seem to trip over Spanish words, for example, in her story books and I feel that this detracts from the essence of the story. Because the sound of the story is just as important as the written word.
I also found that there truly is a video or sound cast for all. Be is a librarian or wine expert want a be.

Flickr usage
I avoid taking pictures and defiantly being in pictures. My pictures usually turn out to a cross between impressionism and cubism, or more properly call one big blurry mess. Even with a digital camera I mess up. But when I went to Flickr picture and played with the hues so I change various shades of green or red. It was amazing what pictures came up for view. Not even on my best day could I get the pictures these people have created from just simple things. There is no way that I could even create a basic card let alone the works of art that is displayed there.
